How to Find Fitness Motivation

I think most of us know that exercise is good for our health. Yet the majority of people don’t work out. Why is that?

Motivation! Working out is, well, work. And if you don’t have a good amount of motivation, it’s hard to make it happen. 

So how do you find motivation?

We have the secret. It has two parts: focus on your goals and rely on a coach.

I’m sure you have goals in other areas of life. For example, it would be a lot of fun to spend all your money on cool stuff, right? But you have goals like paying rent or mortgage, saving for a vacation, etc. These goals keep you motivated. 

The same is true of fitness: goals keep you motivated. The thing is, you need to be able to see progress towards your goals. 

Financial goals are easy to track because you can watch the numbers. For most people, fitness goals are way harder to track. That’s where we come in: we can help you identify your short- and long-term goals. We can also figure out how to measure these goals and track your progress. And, we’ll celebrate every single win with you! 

That brings us to the second element of motivation: Rely on a coach.

If you’ve got the goals down, you still need to figure out how to get there. There’s nothing more frustrating than spinning your wheels. But if you draw a map to your goals, and celebrate milestones along the way, you’ll stay motivated. Your coach is the person who can help you draw that map. He or she will be the first to pick you up when progress seems slow. And your coach will also be the one who celebrates the wins.
